Night time lapse movie by Stéphane Guisard www.astrosurf.com/sguisard This time lapse movie represents a complete night in the Atacama Andes , San Pedro de Atacama region (Chile).It shows the rising of the Milky Way above the Laguna Miscanti (4350 meters above sea level) and cerro Miñiques (5910 meters above sea level). This fantastic "Martian" landscape was visible, during that night, thanks to the Moon present at the back of the camera and disappeared when the Moon set. Just before the Sun rises, the camera scanning stops in front of the Zodiacal light. The flash version below has original music and sound by Valère Leroy.
